2018-08 - First group of Space Marines painted since for a long time. White base.
The red texture gives a nice shine.
2018-08 - First lots of paint with some Warhammer since a kid. Bunch of blood splatter. Silver/Iron attempt for the areas. Thought the red looking shade would be red, but as it says its “yellow”. Gun hole drilled out a bit. Flag needs some decal adding on.
Tutorials give nice tips like how to brush on eyes.
I try to think of the yellow as like a rusting or wear of the blood of the enemy.
Skulls shall be all black, until tomorrow when I start using white.
Less Flash
“YOU shall be my next target!”
Point blank gun shots will result is some mess.
2018-08 - used a shade on grenade, not realising that yes it says “yellow”, looks red in the tube but drys… yellow. Still like the contrasts of bright colours here and there.
2018-08 - No flash
Black Shade really helps pick up all those details of the model.
focus could be better
Shade just about gives some resulting white pupils. Mask features, chest plate, backpack backing innards.
Camera and flash pick up the red texture on the gun rail far more then natural light.
Bob - the
Du
al Wielding
2018-07 - My first D&D character which only started some months before this attempt was Bob the Dual wielding half orc.
Swords came out nice with the iron added on edges.
Might be dual wielding but what Space Marine would be without at least one gun.
Skin shade is nice. Messed up getting black in the eyes. I mean it was totally intentional and actually black war paint for under the eye :P
4 blades, 1 holstered gun, 1 grenade
